About Melrand

Our charming cottage can be discovered in the heart of the breton countryside in a small hamlet just a short distance from the village of Melrand.  Although we offer a peaceful holiday, we are just 14 kms from the busy medieval towns of Baud and Pontivy and the beautiful beaches of the Gulf of Morbihan are only 35 minutes away

You will have a choice of visiting the long sandy stretches of Carnac beach or the small coves of Locmariaquer and Le Men Du or even going further afield to one of the many islands.  For those of you who prefer a change from the beach, the nearby lac du Guerledan and the Blavet river offer beautiful walks  and cycling along the towpaths.

Nearby, for the more active among you, there is kayaking, horseriding and golf.

Summer evenings can be spent barbecuing and enjoying a bottle of wine in the cottage garden, but there are also many local french restaurants, creperies and bars along the river at St Nicholas des Eaux or Melrand.
